The _local language file allows you to override any of the language keys in lang.brilliant_retail.php. This gives you greater flexibility over backend and frontend system messages.
Custom Language Files
BrilliantRetail also gives you the ability to add custom language files to the _local directory. Any file in the _local/language/[language]/directory that follows the lang.XXXX.pattern will be automatically into the language array. This gives you the power to extend BrilliantRetail payment gateways, shipping methods, and custom reports and include language files for each.
Overwrite a core BrilliantRetail language key value:
<?php // You may prefer to call 'Dashboard' something more // personal like 'My Dashboard' $lang = array( 'nav_br_dashboard' => 'My Dashboard' );
<?php // The custom language file requires a $lang assoc array just like // the standard system language files. Consider adding a key prefix // to your keys to avoid namespace conflicts $lang = array( 'custom_key' => 'A new language key' );
